Lots of people ask where Bas and I met. Well, without 100% Halal there’d be no Willie and Bassie, no WTFG and Baster, nada, niks. So we owe Halal a great debt for hooking us up, not because either of us worked there, but because they inadvertently set in place a chain of events that could begin only in such an open community.
 

Basically I met Cat to talk about Nobody Beats the Drum, through her I met Roel, who suggested Emiel make my first TV commercial, who in turn made me talk to Bas at a party because nobody else would. It turned out to be a match made in heaven, otherwise known as the Lepelenburg park in Utrecht.
