DUMDUM

DumDum is a monthly party in Utrecht thrown by Boemklatsch, Triomf and Baster. It involves liberal quantities of alcohol and pounding beats and is rather good fun. Although most of my fun involves trying to avoid security if I manage to get backstage. It normally ends in my forcible ejection and a stern telling off, before the whole charade repeats all over again. And all this despite being an official 'friend' of DumDum, yet never getting that all important backstage pass. For the record, I'm not bitter.


Bas has done a lot of stuff for Dum Dum. Flyers, posters, tshirts, dressing up in a rabbit suit, stagediving, you know, the usual stuff you do when organising parties. But perhaps the most unusual thing he’s done is put his self portrait on one of the tshirts. It’s still the closest he’s ever come to revealing his true face to the world.
