If I’m going to be really honest, the reason I started working in advertising was because I’d heard that you got given a lot of free stuff. Sadly the reality was slightly different. A notebook and a fridge magnet wasn’t exactly living the dream. So I’ll be forever grateful to Baster to hooking me up with my first pair of free sneakers, a whole four years after first setting foot in an advertising agency and 18 months after putting my shoesize on my business cards in a vain attempt to steer the conversation round to, um, giving me free shoes.
